Hirth F-30 2 cycle 85hp aircraft engine. The F30 is a special design, high torque, low Rpm version of the 110 Hp F30S. Peak torque is developed at 1000 Rpm less than the F30S , allowing cruise speeds at very low Rpms, resulting in very quiet and smooth operations. Factory recommended TBO is rated at 1200 Hrs. @ 75% power.

This engine was bought by a company in 1998 to use in an experimental aircraft project. It was run for 5-10 hours, no more. During the project all testing was accomplished by an A&P mechanic and ATP pilot.
