One unique ALCO locomotive type that was used on the ARR was the RSD1. The RSD1 was a wartime six axle export version of the RS1 where the majority of the locomotives built were ordered by the US Army for use in Iran and Russia. ARR received a large number of RSD1 surplus from the US Army following the end of WWII and were in the 1000 class.

No easy way... I have been looking for a way for a long time. The unique cast metal RS1 frame with walkways can't be swapped for anything, and the trucks are not interchangeable with anything.

2008年3月1日 · No-one makes one in plastic, if that’s what you’re after. I seem to recall a brass model from way back, although I’m not 100% certain about that. Assuming you want the hood version and not the ARR cab unit, you could kitbash one from an RS-1, a NSWGR 40 class cab, and some three-axle trucks with new frames. Cheers, Mark.
