2017年7月24日 · While recently cleaning out a relatives estate, I came across 8 bright shiny 1 lb. tins of Hodgdon 870 in their original shipping box. I don't know what year it was shipped (I'm guessing 30-years ago) but it has been stored in a dry compartment of relatively stable temperature and low humidity ever since.

2010年3月31日 · Re: Hodgdon 4350 vs. IMR 4350 Yes. The H4350 is a temp insenstive powder. From winter time to summer time, you will notice a velocity/pressure change in your load with some of the IMR powders. I love the IMR powders, especially IMR4350. But a hot/fast load developed in the winter time will be a HOT load in the summer time.

2011年1月16日 · I began testing Hodgdon Superformance Powder in my 260 this past weekend. This is a custom build using a 26" Bartlein 5R 8.5 barrel. So far I’ve only done pressure testing with 123 SMKs and Lapua 139s. The good news so far is, I was able to get over 3150 fps with the 123s and over 3000 fps with the 139s with no overpressure signs!

2010年1月10日 · Re: Hodgdon Benchmark powder I love it in the 223 but think it a little on the fast side for the 308. RL-15 is a good if not great powder in the 308, Varget, AA2520 works well for me with heavier bullet, IMR 4064. While you probably can find an accurate load with the benchmark I don't see a good velocity range with it.

2020年3月1日 · Ramshot / Accurate ball powder comes from PB Clermont in Belgium. Hodgdon extruded grades and IMR-8208 XBR from Thales / ADI in Mulwala, NSW, Australia. Other than 8208 XBR, IMR extruded rifle powders are also made by a General Dynamics Corp owned plant in Valleyfield, Ontario, Canada. (Hodgdon owns the IMR brand name and marketing rights IIRC.)

2006年2月6日 · Yeah, it's a ball powder. As soon as I get some more 169.5 gr .277" bullets from Richard, I'll be testing this out in my 270 AM. I'd like to try it in my 300 RUM w/the 240 SMKs, but the rifle already shoots .25 MOA w/Retumbo so I don't think I'll be messing w/it.
