2008年7月28日 · I used plastic pegboard and latice channel to build the filter. Since the filter will be slightly smaller then the surface area on the bottom of the tank I drilled holes in the sides of the filter to provide some flow there. The bathtub trials should take place this weekend and if all goes well into the tank it goes.

Under gravel filters provide excellent biological filtration, breaking down uneaten food and waste to nitrate with a very large mass of biofilter media. The large mass of well aerated gravel in an under-gravel filter does the biofiltration tasks much better that all but the best filtration systems and it does it for much less money.
