2022年3月16日 · JB, I have a 2005 Pilot.. Great vehicle. I had the same issue as you. I took it to a frame shop and they cut out the rusted area welded in new components ( Metal, bolt...) That was 2 yrs. ago and it still looks great. It came close to $ 1000.00 for the repair. However it was a lot cheaper than a car payment.

2021年4月22日 · The design of the Pilot's (sheet metal) frame and Honda's minimal rust deterrent provisions for the inside surfaces lead one to believe they intentionally planned for failure of the chassis. While not bullet-proof, the mechanicals were well tested in earlier machines and 250K mileage was easily reached.

2020年8月18日 · The Pilot has rusted from the 2 bushing points that attach to the unibody and had rusted off causing the entire rear subframe to fall off the frame. Pilot has 134K is there a recall or TSB or anything the Honda dealer can do? I was researching and I see that Canada has a buy back or trade in on the CRV models.

2019年11月25日 · So if in fact the rear frame collapsed over the exhaust causing it to fall to the road while driving say 45 -50 miles MPH that this would be a minor concern, Do we have to hear of a unfortunate accident to then take action if indeed this is a recurring issue with older model Honda Pilots or any other model affected.

2018年7月12日 · Hi all. I recently purchased a 2003 Honda Pilot EX-L Navi with 208000 miles a few weeks ago. The vehicle was one owner with all dealership maintenance (timing belt and water pump just done for second time) and overall in really good shape minus one bad area of rust where the unibody and rear subframe bolt together.

2017年10月28日 · The rear driver sub-frame mount to the body is rusted out. It appears to have ~60% of metal remaining. I've found incidences of this searching on the internet, but I cannot find anyone on the forum with this problem. All 3 other mounts are good and sound. I'd like to get the pilot to last until the spring if I can.
