2015年8月10日 · Talk to the real car guys, you'll know who they are when they open their mouths, I bet you find a guy that paints cars at his house and does great work. $10,000 paint job for half price. Guy doing it for himself on the side doesn't have the over head or pricing of a shop. I know a local guy that does amazing work.

2022年1月5日 · 2 - Fuel will cost more than you think. It can get great fuel economy if you have a decent commute and some discipline. 26-30 isn't hard to do on the freeway. Its around town that will eat you up.

2022年9月17日 · Shop around. In my area for a different vehicle I was quoted as low as $2200 (this guy is actually super reputable and does high quality work) has some in the middle, and then the more well known. Shops were $5000-$5500.

2013年5月10日 · If it's anything like former corvettes- the cost of ownership will be average. You will just need to do basic maintenance. Save for the cost of new rear tires, the rest shouldn't be much different from any other car. The engines are legendary for reliability, the transmissions are simple jobs, and maintenance is very basic.

2023年9月8日 · Prices are through the roof now on a quality paint job. It cost my insurance company $12k (that's right, TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS) to paint my Lexus Sedan after it was scratched by vandals two years ago. I don't think a Corvette would be any cheaper. Again, for a quality job. Maaco or Earl Shieb would be considerably cheaper.

Will they be replacing the oil pump and water pump, or installing stainless long tube headers and a full exhaust, for example? The headers alone could easily cost over $2k in parts. If all they are doing is replacing the cam and installing budget lifters and springs, then this shop clearly does not want your business.

2021年6月19日 · Most of the forums I see are like 8 years old and the cost information is not relevant. Before I buy a corvette, I’m trying to make a monster of an autocrosser, and I think if I could get a c6 manual, turbo it, add wing and splitter, get lighter rims and better tires, then this thing could be a supercar slayer (debatable).
