2010年2月18日 · FYI, drive shaft u-joint angle should be between 1/2 to 3 degrees. Always install your u-joints in such a way that the torque being transmitted through the u-joint "tries" to close the hole where the grease zerk is, rather than trying to open up the hole.

2007年11月26日 · Your best bet without narrowing will be a Maverick rear end. That is as narrow as it gets but still not as narrow as the stock Falcon rear. The Falcon is 56" wheel to wheel. The Maverick is 56.5 IIRC. It is a bolt in swap but will require that you shorten your drive shaft.

2009年5月17日 · The picture of the drive shafts are of the 63 Falcon (the short one) and of the 74 Maverick (the long one). I only have the shaft for the Maverick the one for the Falcon went with the Falcon when I sold it but it can still be cut down to fit if needed.

It was originally designed as a Corvette distributor tach drive but should work great in its new application. The short 6 or 7" speedo cable shown came with my GV toploader kit.

When I did mine I had the car sitting on the wheels, the tranny yoke was backed out 3/4" and I measured from the center of the tranny yoke u-joint to the center of the rear yoke u-joint.
