But I splurged on a pair of Lucchese short boots, well actually my husband did because he saw how much I loved them. He is the best, especially a few beers in! The boot store was next to Guero's in Austin.

If she's getting blisters they are too loose, hurting on the sides they need oiling and wear, I'd try those wooden shoe shapers to stretch them a bit if they are hurting her heel or toe. I have big feet, so the pointed toe added more length to the boot. The Twisted X boots were comfortable, but I noticed the first few times I dismounted that the toe didn't come out of the off side stirrup easily.

2021年1月2日 · Friends tell me that insulated western boots are never as good as any insulated English boots. And the English boots are not good fir long periods outside. I ride in either my Sorrel's or irrigation boots. Both have a narrower toe box and fit my stirrups better than other brands. I do have have pair of men's western boots that are 3 sizes too big.

2012年6月10日 · So, when I decided to buy Western boots, I without hesitation bought the Ariat Western boots. They are so comfortable, they already have that broken-in feel when new. They work well for me and I usually have trouble with new shoes/boots during the breaking-in period. Good luck shopping!

2023年3月30日 · Got them secondhand, but in nearly new condition about 4 years ago. I rotate between a couple of pairs of boots, and the leather on the twisted is finally starting to show a little bit of cracking. I don't think I'm too terribly hard on them, if it's really bad out I use muck boots instead, but they kept my feet dry when I'm out in rainy weather.

So I finally got a pair that will "look" ok for both styles and I can wear them for about 9 months out of the year. These are technically a Western boot (srot of a show or "dress" boot) but they look pretty close to some English style paddock boots.
