Considering that lsof is a dependency of htop, and the problem you're having is that a file can't be read and/or created, there may be a need for lsof's services during the installation. Either install lsof or, if it already is installed, create a hardlink for lsof in /usr/ports/sysutils/lsof.

2019年8月16日 · That's pretty much the answer I was hoping for, although taking a look at pcp now (the tool, not the drug), but it seems like it's very different from htop, and requires a service to be running in background, maybe I'm looking at the wrong part of it though because it seems extensive. Value more than number of the cores is a sign that the system is overloaded, which is apparently true in your case as 42 is greater than 12.
