2023年1月13日 · When you update to 2.280 it deletes the basemap which you must update if you plan to use the new Lakemaster VX chips. The 2.280 update is on the website for each graph along with the basemap update for each graph. There is a basemap for the Helix 5-8 and a different basemap update for Helic 9-12.

I’m not sure what was all in the update but I can surly see a difference in the readout quality on my front MDI/MSI unit along with less intererance throughout the boat. I was running version 2.18 prior which I had updated last spring.

2019年12月10日 · My new helix 7 g3 has terrible lag when hole hopping and takes over 5 seconds to read depth. Was hoping it’s an update issud, the unit says its version 2.030 and the update is 2.110. I cannot get the helix to recognize the update file or even try to update. It reads the card since I have a lakemaster map on it but it doesnt update.. any ideas ?

2019年3月3日 · Transducer is only 3 weeks old. According to Humminbird the new 1.90 software update doesn’t apply to G3 models so I am stuck with the 1.83 software for now. No dropping, dragging of transducer, I am pretty particular and treat my gear well. I will wait and see what Humminbird says.

If you’re unit is registered with the serial number on the HB web site you should get a email notification of when a update is available for your specific unit is the way I understand it. When I go to the web site and look at the software update list my model Helix Ice 7 G3N chirp/Gps isn’t even listed.
