We are trying to find a high voltage disconnect for our eCar. We would like something like the FCI RCS800, but we need a current capacity of about 400A. Does anyone have any ideas? Check out TE connectivity, they might have something for you. Take a look at Anderson Power Products.

FSAE rule clarification
Dear FSAEe colleagues, Make sure your accumulator containers are within the envelope of the chassis & protected by fully triangulated side impact structures, as defined in the rules. I do confirm that the following design, with an interlock on the HVD is rule compliant. It is actually, in my opinion, a good practice to use the HVD as a split pack.
The HVD and interlock consists of a Manual Service Disconnect from TE Connectivity that has both power and signal connections. The main HV connector will be mounted on the rear of the car behind the headrest with a non-conductive handle attached directly to the plug.

Make sure to differentiate between continuous and peak current capacity when looking at your connectors. I doubt that you need a continuous current capacity of 400A. Even with only 100V TS voltage you would need to continuously deliver/source 40kW to/from your motors. Looking at the efficiency data of the last three FSE events, this seems to be very unlikely.
