2021年3月26日 · I had to choose between them and I chose HX FX. Man, I love this multi fx unit. Super flexible, easily configurable. Great sounding effects. I’m sure the Boss is great too, but seeing all the legacy Line 6 fx along with the new Helix fx in a easily dialed in box was it. It was a better interface to me. I can’t compare but don’t care to.

I set up a small board with an hx fx and a couple mini expression pedals, a tuner, and a real wah off to the side as a portable board and end up using it all time instead of my larger board. I’m halfway tempted to get a full on Helix just for effects to get more buttons for instant access.

2021年12月9日 · I run my Black Widow Audio Designs MGP-1A in the loop 2 of HX FX and my Rivera amp in 4CM. I make a preset with loop 1 and everything before and after the rivera’s preamp. Make a preset with loop 2 block and everything before and after the MGP-1A and into fx return of Rivera. MGP-1A just like the Synergy preamps. HX FX is so flexible that way.

2023年2月18日 · Interesting. Wouldn't TONEX Pedal and HX FX work similar to the video which shows HX Stomp? I know it may seem odd I'm asking about L6 integration but we know people use other products and this is an honest question because it seems at least on paper that better results would be to use TONEX Pedal in the loop of HX FX instead.

2022年9月9日 · The HX FX is awesome if you're tired of the maintenance work, regular re-wiring etc. that usually come with large "spaceship" boards. I'd recommend getting that one first, and then adding individual pedals to taste. The common gripes with the HX FX, definitely worth mentioning, although no big deal, imho:

2022年4月10日 · I have the HX FX set up for stomp box mode, and have, upper left to lower right, the following effects: boost, compression, EQ, Dimension, delay, reverb. Since getting the HX FX, I've played with several different bands and subbed in others. No matter what the music they had, the limited effects on the HX FX I set up, have all worked nicely.

2024年12月26日 · HX FX are crazy cheap around here for such a great unit. One is on CL right now w/ the matching Mission Engineering expression pedal and power supply in perfect shape for $340! You could use it as-is with a real amp, or add an amp modeler pedal for $200 for going direct and have a killer rig!
