HYPULSE Reflection Shock/Expansion Tunnel. A high-enthalpy hypersonic tunnel that recreates the high-temperature, chemically active air flows that are characteristic of real hypersonic flight. HYPULSE is capable of producing hot flows from Mach 4 to Mach 25+.

2024年5月22日 · Since the previous summer they’ve been working to fire up a new test tunnel in Purdue’s super-secure Hypersonics and Applied Research Facility (HARF), dealing with impossibly tight tolerances even for a so-called “low-pressure” test.

Hypersonics Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center (HAMTC) is a single location at Purdue for industry partners to work on materials and manufacturing innovations and provide access to testing capabilities at Purdue that would enable the U.S. to overtake near peer adversaries in the field.
