This is only only true with high refresh rates. A 240hz monitor locked to 60 fps without vsync will have no perceptible screen tearing. Set that same monitor to 60hz, then lock the fps to 60 and you'll see screen tearing everywhere.

2021年1月18日 · We all love high FPS. But, it recently occurred to me, if my monitor can only produce 144hz, I’m technically not even getting the benefits of 300+ FPS with CSGO right? Technically, the monitor is capping out at 144 FPS. So, that additional 150+ FPS is just wasted power right? Any benefits you can think of?
