Obesity Phenotypes, Lifestyle Medicine, and Population Health: Precision Needed Everywhere!

The Journal of Obesity & Metabolic Syndrome is an official, peer-reviewed research journal published by the Korean Society for the Study of Obesity. Obesity is a major risk factor for various metabolic disorders such as type 2 diabetes, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases.

The articles of JOMES include research papers on basic and clinical medicine of obesity and obesity-related diseases, as well as the specific applications of biochemistry, physiology, genetics, and metabolic study. Nutritional, psychological, and epidemiological aspects are also included in the scope of JOMES.

The abbreviated title is J Obes Metab Syndr or JOMES. The aim of JOMES is to contribute to a better understanding, prevention, and treatment of obesity to improve the lives of those affected, and thereby help reduce the incidence of obesity-related metabolic disorders.
