2024年1月25日 · Together with SR 265 and KY 841, Interstate 265 constitutes a beltway encircling the Falls City area of southeast Indiana and the city of Louisville in Kentucky. The beltway provides a bypass for long distance and freight traffic from I-64 at New Albany, Indiana to both I-71 and I-64 along the east side of Louisville.

Interstate 265 (I-265) was an auxiliary Interstate Highway in Nashville, Tennessee. It ran on the northern part of the Nashville downtown loop from 1965 to April 7, 2000. It was replaced by a reroute of its parent highway, I-65. It ran for only 2.25 miles (3.62 km). [2]

2009年11月4日 · I-265/KY 841 arrive at the Exit 35A loop ramp onto Interstate 71 north. I-71 travels 345 miles overall from Louisville to Covington, Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio. KY 841 was the original designation for this 36 mile outer loop of Louisville, which was originally constructed as a bypass to serve suburban traffic.

The widening of I-265 from four lanes to six lanes ranked the highest priority project in the state. To implement this top priority, KYTC is advancing a project to add one 12-foot travel lane in each direction of I-265 between KY 155 (Taylorsville Road) and I-71 (mile markers 23.1 to 34.7).
