This was on the site when I went to search for it: NOTE: Form I-485 is now used to collect information previously collected on Form I-864W, Request for Exemption for Intending Immigrant’s Affidavit of Support. Adjustment applicants no longer need to file Form I-864W.

2018年7月11日 · The I-864W is the best form for your daughter since she is the child of a US citizen (you). If the rep was looking at the most updated form (expires 3/31/2020) then he/she would see Part 1 Section 11 stating that SSN is REQUIRED just as you did.

Will I-864W still work on the consular side for those outside the US, or do I have to do I-864? (Filing for children only)

It looks like the I-864W form has been reinstated for use by the USCIS. For those that do not know what it is, it is the form used to waive the requirement of filling out the I-864.
