With over 38,000 IBCLCs supporting families worldwide, their dedication to protect, promote, and support breastfeeding continues to advance global public health and impact countless lives.

Today is International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) Day, a day that recognizes and celebrates IBCLCs who significantly transform world health by providing skilled lactation care to expectant parents, families, and babies.

March 5th is almost here, and with it, IBCLC Day 2025! This special day is dedicated to celebrating the International Board Certified Lactation Consultants who support, guide, and, most of all, empower families through the beautiful journey that is childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum care.

IBLCE is hosting IBCLC Appreciation Day during World Breastfeeding Week to acknowledge the vital role IBCLCs play in maternal and infant health. IBCLCs work globally to advance health equity, educate families about breastfeeding, and advocate for policies that support breastfeeding families’ unique needs.
