2021年9月17日 · The PS/2 model 70, released in 1988, is an example of one of these MCA offerings. It has the typical PS/2 front bezels but is taller than my other PS/2, the pizza-box Model 30-286 . My Model 70-121, strutting its stuff above, has a 120MB drive, 6MB of memory and a 386-20DX processor.

The IBM PC Server 720 (IBM 8642) was the largest MCA-based server made by IBM, although it was not, strictly speaking, a PS/2 model. It could be fitted with up to six Intel Pentium processors interconnected by the Corollary C-bus and up to eighteen SCSI hard disks.

2009年9月27日 · Restoring an IBM PS/2 Model 70. The IBM PS/2 line of microcomputers gave the industry such standards as VGA graphics, PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports, 72 Pin DRAM SIMMS, along with the 1.44 3.5 inch floppy diskette. Most also had Microprocessor Channel Architecture (MCA), a proprietary hardware BUS standard IBM hoped would catch on, but didn't.

IBM PS/2 Model 70 IBM's PS/2 line was a line of computers for business applications being a next step from AT computers. They implemented many new technologies, like MCA bus, ESDI and SCSI hard disks or modular architecture composed of FRU modules, easily replaceable parts.
