2012年12月30日 · While ICG is a convenient scapegoat for the grading of gem $20's, they shouldn't be carrying the blame for an entire market. On another note concerning stickering $20's. A friend of mine submitted about 2 dozen MS66 Saints to CAC 1-2 months ago that were from a very nice old time deal.

2007年3月21日 · The only type of icg graded stuff I've looked at in number are morgans in 63-65 grades- most of the time, I think they're pretty close to the mark in their grading of this series in that range. I wouldn't trust their grading of uber high grade moderns, but most of the time I don't give a squat about uber high grade moderns...

2004年8月27日 · I think ICG's grading is on par with others, and consider them one of the only four TPGs that I trust. On the open market, however, coins in ICG slabs have really sunk in the past couple years, which is a shame, because they're really good guys over there.

2003年7月2日 · ICG is pretty inconsistant (on the low side) and generally about 1-2 grades off comparable PCGS coins. Attached is a ICG-MS67 War Nickel that is at least close to marked grade. I would guess that it might grade MS66 on a good day. Take a look. I have only had one ICG coin cross higher and that was a ICG-MS62, 1924 Saint that crossed MS64.

2017年5月8日 · Regarding the OP's original question. I have an example of an ICG coin bought about 3 months from Centsles. I had an NGC submission ready to drop off at the CS show so I thought I would throw this ICG coin in to test their grading and to get another opinion on the coin. I cracked out an ICG MS65 1932 Washington Quarter that I paid MS63 money for.

2004年5月13日 · I only own one ICG slab and it is a MS70 1998 5$ Gold Eagle, it appears the grade is accurate, because I also have a MS69 PCGS 2003 5$ Gold Eagle and you can tell the difference between both coins luster and strike which I looked at under a 30x loupe.

2007年2月11日 · My ona and only experience with an ICG coin was a 1935-S Peace dollar that ICG graded at MS64. PCGS just so happened to agree with their grade! I think if you are having coins graded today that their grades and prices are very competitive.
