Since its founding in 1986, the Institute for Community Living (ICL) has been helping New Yorkers with behavioral health challenges live healthy and fulfilling lives by providing comprehensive housing, health care, and recovery services. Today, ICL offers 140 programs across 50 locations in all five boroughs.

Once a traditional behavioral health organization, ICL has evolved into a whole health provider to meet the growing and complex needs of the people we serve. We provide behavioral health and primary care, and we also address the social determinants of health, such as housing, food security and social services.
