In this work we show that a simple swab configuration can be made to sample TNT, PETN and RDX from the raw materials, from a variety of surfaces in a realistic IED package, and from blast craters after detonating the devices, and that the explosive traces on these swabs can be detected by organic semiconductor thin films.
