2022年10月14日 · DAC / AMP isn't necessary for (cheaper) IEM's. If you want to buy any DAC, get a Qudelix 5k. You can use it with bluetooth with LDAC or as a desktop DAC. That's how i use it at work. For reference i have the S12, although i use it at home for movies and music listening, with a normal dongle dac.

You might not need a DAC for your IEMs, but they are always a worthwhile investment. If the DAC isn’t suited to your IEMs then it can distort their sound. However, if working properly they can vastly improve the overall sound and audio-quality of your IEMs.

A dac will improve your sound quality, but it's not as dramatic as some people here will claim. It's the same story as with headphone amps. The dac in the apple dongle already is enough and you probably won't notice dramatic changes, if you notice any.
