All the seven Test Papers of JAM 2022 will be of entirely objective type, with three different patterns of questions, namely (i) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), (ii) Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and (iii) Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.

Applications for Admissions based on JAM 2022 must be submitted online through Candidate Portal by paying a non-refundable application fee of ₹ 600/- (additional bank charges may apply depending on the mode of payment). Only candidates in the merit list of JAM 2022 will be eligible to apply for admission.

JAM 2022 Examination will be held on February 13, 2022 (Sunday) as a Computer Based ONLINE Examination. For admission, foreign nationals are required to satisfy the rules and regulations of the Admitting Institute(s) pertaining to foreign students.

IIT Roorkee is the Organizing Institute for JAM 2022. Candidates who qualify in JAM 2022 held on February 13, 2022, are eligible to apply for admission to IITs in the academic year 2022-23.

The Admit Card should be presented to the invigilators/JAM officials for verification. A copy of the Admit Card of JAM 2022 must be carefully preserved by the Candidate and produced at the time of Admission, if required by the Admitting Institute.
