To get "IM Ready," swimmers compete in a series of five events at shorter distances. Below, we've listed the line-up by age groups. 9 & Under, 10-year olds: 100 Free, 50 Back, 50 Breast, 50 Fly, 100 IM (SCY) or 200 IM (LCM) 11-year olds, 12-year olds: 200 Free, 50 Back, 50 Breast, 50 Fly, 100 IM (SCY) or 200 IM (LCM)

IMR, IMX & Power Point Calculator: A swimmer can calculate his or her power point score instantly by using the IMR, IMX & Power Point calculator. A swimmer selects his event and age, enters his time into the calculator and then clicks on the Calculate button.

IM Xtreme (IMX) is a program designed to motivate swimmers by allowing them to compare their times to those of other athletes in their age group across the United States. By swimming a specific set of events at least once per season, a swimmer can receive an IMR/IMX score based on power points, a system developed by USA Swimming.

2023年9月1日 · During the camp, these swimmers will learn about post race recovery, drug and supplement rules, psychological training skills, nutrition, race strategy and more. The 2024 National Select Camp will be held on January 9-12, 2025 (Boys) and January 23-26, 2025 (Girls) at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO.

2018年1月23日 · The idea is to hold meets in various parts of the country (e.g., East Coast, West Coast, Midwest) that pit swimmers with a minimum “IM Extreme (IMX) Score” (explained below) against each other in 5-6 events (e.g., 500 free, 100 back, 100 breast, 100 fly, 200 IM) to see who is the fastest and most versatile across all 5-6 events.
