Supports in 3D printing are essential to print objects with overhanging parts. But it is really a pain in the annoying to search for the perfect settings, so the supports are easy to remove, and the object not deformed by the supports.

2021年3月25日 · Support settings in 3D printing are used to adjust how your supports are created. This can range from where supports will be created, to support density, support pattern, distances between the supports and the model, down to even support overhang angles. Default Cura settings work well mostly.

2022年10月6日 · Support interface is the support material where the print will actually print on. You will need to adjust for filament types but it allows the support material to release off the part easier while giving your a good surface finish. The support roof is essentially the same BUT, it applies to the area that a print rests on vertically only.

2023年1月19日 · Support interface is a Cura feature that prompts the 3D printer to print extra layers of dense plastic in the areas (both top and bottom) between the supports and the model, forming a more robust support structure that can better handle situations where standard supports aren’t strong enough.

2017年4月21日 · There's a specific setting called "Enable Support Interface." It builds a flat roof (and/or floor) on support structures that better conforms to your model. It tends to improve surface finish and break away easier, assuming you don't accidentally fuse it to the print.

2019年3月14日 · The real use for support interface is to add a layer of dissolvable support, which hugs the model tightly enough to give a perfect surface. Any other use is just a bonus.
