2018年3月11日 · I am in 2 minds regarding using the EFI hardware ITB's or using a Plenum type manifold with a 80mm or so Throttle body. The engine I am currently building is a L28 stroker with a planned 230HP at the treads. I was told by my Engine builder that the ITB setup will create better off idle throttle response, slightly more HP and a smoother idle.

I am familiar with the size calculations etc. for plenums but should I build a single plenum which is feeding both sides, two plenums i.e. one for each side, a plenum for each throttle body i.e. 4 smaller plenums?

2013年6月26日 · Itb's can be used w/ velocity stacks of varying length's, as w/ exhaust the length is designed for the rpm window that is to be maximized. variable geometry plenums in the 911 world were introduced in '84 and have been further refined on all 911, 964, 996, 997 model since.

2022年10月21日 · Based on calculations, my 2.9L needs about 82 in.sq. (52864 mm.sq.) air filter surface area (based on about 200 bhp, 6700 rpm peak power and 7000 red line). That's actually pretty big cone filter that barely fits between ITB plenum, top radiator hose and ABS pump.

2020年2月2日 · In my opinion, at full throttle the ITB and plenum manifold FI systems are basically identical. If it doesn’t run well at full throttle with a plenum manifold, it’s not going to run well at full throttle with ITBs.
