The ITC is co-sponsored by the American Thyroid Association (ATA), the European Thyroid Association (ETA), the Asia-Oceania Thyroid Association (AOTA), and the LATS. Held every five years, each edition of the ITC is hosted by one of these sister societies on a rotational basis.

2024年5月25日 · The 17th International Thyroid Congress (ITC) will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from June 18th to 22nd, 2025. The ITC is co-sponsored by the American Thyroid Association (ATA), the European Thyroid Association (ETA), the Asia-Oceania Thyroid Association (AOTA), and the Latin American Thyroid Society (LATS).

The ETA is a scientific organization, which aims to promote clinical and basic research and raise the standards of understanding and clinical practice in thyroid disease. The Association was founded in 1965 and has met each year since then, with the exception of the years in which the International Thyroid Congress has been held.
