ITF is the International Taekwon-Do Federation, founded on March 22, 1966 in Seoul (south) Korea, by General Choi Hong Hi, who developed Taekwon-Do, to promote the teaching of this martial art.

International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) is an international taekwondo organization founded on March 22, 1966, by Choi Hong Hi (Korean: 최홍희) in Seoul, South Korea. [1] The ITF was founded to promote and encourage the growth of the Korean martial art of taekwon-do .

There are 24 patterns in the official ITF “Chang Hon” syllabus, which represents the 24 hours in a day. The names of these patterns refer to events or important people in Korean history. Features of the patterns may also have historical references, such as the number of moves, the diagram, the way the pattern ends etc.

2002年6月15日 · International Taekwon‑Do Federation (ITF) was inaugurated in Seoul, South Korea. The founding members were national associations of Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, West Germany, the United States, Turkey, Italy, Egypt and South Korea.

From 2019-2020 the leaders of the three Allied associations recognized by the ITF in the USA: ATFI, NTA and OTFA, along with Red Tiger TKD, have been working together in order to merge into a single and stronger ITF organization.

Encouraging our members to practice traditional techniques anywhere at any time and promoting ITF Taekwon-do to the soaring online audience, we are launching the Official ITF Online Platform.
