2021年3月20日 · So I scored one off of the bucket list this week, the rare Ibanez 540S7. Pretty good shape, especially the frets and trem. I love the neck single coil, which seems to be a somewhat unique option, even today. But in 1991, this thing was well ahead of its time. I'll be leaving the pickups stock. They sound good, so no need to change em.

2012年2月12日 · The necks are super comfy for riffing and they sound absolutely massive. The Ibanez will sound a bit thinner with the same pickups. The soap bar thing really isn’t an issue since a lot of brands make them. Plus I really like the stability of the string through bridge. To be honest I think Ibanez are a bit on the high side price wise, new anyways.

2024年1月25日 · 2020 Ibanez RG2027XL This was a bit of a random purchase - I found it B stock online down to £1074. I did some research, and it looked like a solid 7 string with 27". I don't mind baritone guitars, as my other 7's are 27-25.5 and 26.5-25.5. The 8 string is also 27".

2008年10月17日 · The cheaper Ibanez pickups like the POWERSOUND or INFINITY series, sure those aren't that great... But there's nothing wrong with the V7/V8 or AH1/AH2 pickups. They have decent output, have a good natural, transparent tone to them, and aren't noisy at all.

Turn around can be long as no one tends to stock parts, so you're looking at a wait no matter who you go with. As for the part itself, in most cases there's a suitable aftermarket part. So there's always that option.
