One of my favourite scenes from Jurassic Park, is the ice cream scene. It demonstrates Hammond’s intent for joy, but bringing up the dangers that have happened in a dinosaur theme park....

2011年6月8日 · There is a bucket of ice cream in the middle, and he's eating a dish of it, staring down morosely. Ellie draws up to the table and Hammond looks up at her. His eyes are puffy, his hair is messed up - - for the first time we've seen him, the fire is gone from his eyes.

About an 1.5 hours into the film, Richard Attenborough's mysterious and misguided Dr. Hammond shares a quiet conversation with Dr. Ellie Sattler while he dips into various containers of half-melted ice cream.

The fences are out around the park, the phones are out, and evidently some power is out, at least in the kitchen, because Hammond said all the ice cream was melting. If you'll remember, Nedry's sabotage is the reason systems were going out, and the failures seemed to be random.

2018年6月19日 · Dr. Hammond goes to the freezer and takes out all the ice cream and decides to eat it since the power is out, and leaves the freezer door open on his way out. The power outage causes everything else in the freezer to melt and water to pool on the floor.

Throughout the movie, John Hammond says to everyone who will listen that in order to build the park he "spared no expense." Obviously, there were more than a few blunders on his part that caused the ensuing ruckus in the movie, but I just realized after re-watching the movie that there was at least one expense he did spare: Dennis Nedry.

2021年11月10日 · Not enough Spice flavors of ice cream to be honest. Cinnamon ice cream being one of my favorites. She’s comparing Hammond’s lack of criticism with her own by counter arguing with him about the fact that he was betrayed be Nedry and vows it won’t let it happen again. I took it to mean that she took the (electrical) power for granted.
