2022年9月27日 · Edit: Also NAPAs set goes from 7 to 24. Icon does 10-19. If a wrench set doesn't include an 8 AND have no skips I don't even consider em. I shouldn't have to track down larger or smaller common sizes to complete my wrench set, and if you're the type who use the OE organizer then now you have to find a different OE organizer.

2022年7月19日 · This brings me to ICON. They have full SAE and Metric sets, that run like $129 set. Full polish, good "Snap-on" style font, and also I just learned - the better open-end grip that grabs better. Lifetime Warranty of course. Made in Taiwan. I compared these to my other socket favourite - TEKTON, and ICON is just better made with better features.

2023年3月30日 · Can’t think of all the names but there’s probably 5-6 different tool brands with their stamps on this style of wrench set. Go with whatever is cheapest or most convenient. If you have a matco dealer then it might be good to go with them for replacements, or HF if you wish to drive to a store (If really close by) for fast warranty swap.

2023年3月29日 · I needed to go to HF for something else, I on impulse I grabbed the two Icon sets that recreates/replaces the same 6mm-24mm standard combination set I have. One problem: I finally watched the video, and the Icon they tested, and indeed all of the top 7 wrenches are anti-slip designs, which I already have covered with my SK Xframes.

As you mentioned, the Pitt Pro stuff is a fantastic value. Skipped sizes can be annoying. Also, some stuff only comes in 12-point when you want 6-point. Argh! Still, I am very happy with my Pitt Pro stuff. I have a set of long ratcheting Icon wrenches, but that's only because I got them for a song. I'd take Tekton over Icon.

2023年5月28日 · ICON 100 tooth, reversible head, extra long, double box flex ratcheting wrench set are worth the extra cost. Here are pictures showing opposite sides of the head. Flush side of head - note the push button reverse. Raised box side of head. Occasionally the difference between the wrench being useable or not.
