The Institute for Food Safety and Health (IFSH) is a one-of-a-kind applied food science research consortium comprised of the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the food industry.

IFSH is strategically located in the Chicago region, one of the world’s top cities for the food and beverage industry. We are a world-class food science research institute that produces knowledge-based outcomes in the areas of food safety, food defense, food processing and nutrition as a consortium between academia, government, and industry.

The Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) is a broad-based public-private alliance of industry, academia, and government stakeholders.
