[Rumour] Intel to cut back on Arc discrete GPU - [H]ard|Forum
Sep 11, 2022 · Intel cannot afford to NOT be in the GPU business. They may or may not sell consumer cards, but CPUs are not the stars of the server world anymore. Intel needs GPU to stay relevant in the long term, and -$500 million is peanuts compared to the consequences of failing. With $27 billion cash in the bank, Intel's not going broke over GPU.
iGPU Multi-Monitor vs. Discrete GPU - [H]ard|Forum
Aug 26, 2012 · Either way, when I play games or whatever all the acceleration is being done on my discrete GPU at all times, I monitored this with the MSI Afterburner software AND GPU-Z. The only way to mix and match both (use the iGPU for 2D and the Discrete for 3D) is with the LUCID software and thats mostly a hit or miss with some games and probably more ...
Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger candidly reveals where Intel dropped the ball
Dec 19, 2005 · That seemed "backwards" for a company known for an always present iGPU, but makes great sense paired with an all Intel discrete GPU. I think this was the real reason for the "F". But I am assuming the whole "bundle" idea. Which I think would be a huge win for Intel. Buy an OEM Intel PC, get mid range discrete GPU with it, and it costs about the ...
Discrete GPU + Intel HD Graphics for multi-monitor setup?
Jan 20, 2007 · Previously, I just attached them both to my discrete video card outputs. With my new mobo, I have the motherboard output for HD graphics from the CPU. Would it be a benefit to drive my "work" monitor from the motherboard/CPU graphics (HD 530 + Megachips MCDP2800), by offloading the second monitor duties from my GTX970?

Jun 12, 2018 · Ryan Shrout is reporting that Intel CEO Brian Krzanich stated that Intel will have its first discrete graphics chips available in 2020. No direct quote is given by Shrout, only paraphrasing, and it is a loose statement at best. Personally I am betting for more like 2021 or 2022 for anything...

Dec 19, 2005 · Cool 😎 “Intel has reportedly chosen the TSMC 4 nm EUV foundry node for its next generation Arc Xe2 discrete GPUs based on the "Battlemage" graphics architecture. This would mark a generational upgrade from the Arc "Alchemist" family, which Intel built on the TSMC 6 nm DUV process. The TSMC N4...
Intel: Integrated Graphics Are Catching Up With Discrete GPUs
Jan 15, 2016 · Intel integrated graphics IS the market. Your fancy AMD and Nvidia GPU's are a drop in the bucket. This. Intel's integrated graphics are more than sufficient for pretty much everything but real gaming and CAD applications. That's a HUGE majority of the PC market.
Arm to Dip its Fingers into Discrete GPU Game, Plans on …
Dec 19, 2005 · On the one hand you could argue that the crypto craze elevated GPU prices was what convinced Intel to go all in on bringing out discrete GPU's, and that is now over, but with Arc getting better and better with each software iteration, they really have an opportunity to build a long term profit center here. Arm is a - by market cap - $135B company.
Intel Plans to Launch Its Discrete GPU Lineup Starting at $200
Aug 6, 2019 · This is going to hurt both NVIDIA and AMD but I think AMD will feel it a lot more since the low/mid range is all they have going for them. If Intel pulls their collective heads out of their asses and decides to price these $100+ below …
