The Inhaler Technique Questionnaire (InTeQ) asks about the frequency of performing five steps when using inhalers (on a five-point Likert scale). We analyzed data from adults with persistent asthma ( n = 361).

There is currently an unmet clinical need for a score to quantify inhaler technique. A validated inhaler technique score would aid inhaler technique optimisation. Many inhaler devices are currently used in clinical practice to deliver medication, with each inhaler device offering different benefits to overcome technique issues.
