There are two scenes that appear in the novelization and in the script about a father looking into their child's eyes and wondering if they will be the one to save the world and the child, once they have done something that saves their little corner of the world, wanting their father to see that but by then he's long gone.

2024年5月8日 · Thanks for sharing this, because I simply haven’t got the time or patience to read, let alone understand the script. All I can say is thank our lucky stars that film wasn’t the final version. It plays out like every other 80’s-90’s sci-fi “blockbuster” (think Stargate etc).

2023年2月10日 · This is yet another massive problem with this movie's script. All of the people listed above were more than capable of the arithmetic to disprove Professor Brand's lie. Several of them probably would not have even needed to do the math, they would've recognized his bald-faced lie immediately.
