IOV sponsors international and national folk dance, music and song festivals, culinary festivals and other related events. We also support exhibitions of costumes, masks, puppetry and all types of handicrafts. The IOV is made up of different folk groups and creative individuals and academics, which are located around the world, in 161 countries.

In this spirit of the UNESCO Convention on the safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the world, IOV develops activities such as festivals, congresses, conferences, workshops, covering the different elements of ICH such as traditional dance, music, handicrafts, traditional cuisine, traditional medicine and others.
