2020年2月28日 · F90 is a lightweight assault rifle manufactured by Thales Australia to provide soldiers with increased firepower in the battlefield. The rifle was introduced at the Eurosatory International Land and Air-Land Defence and Security Exhibition in Paris, France, in June 2012.

The F90 is one of the lightest assault rifles on the market at 3.25 kg, enabling fast reaction times and rapid target acquisition, a clear advantage in close quarters combat. NATO standard rails and NATO ammunition interoperability provide adaptability for a wide range of mission profiles.

F90 / EF88 assault rifle is gas operated, selectively fired weapon of bullpup layout. It uses polymer housing with improved shape of buttstock (including the new buttpad and added comb for better cheek-weld). Gas operated, short-stroke, rotary bolt action is similar to that of original Steyr AUG, but the gas block is modified.

2024年7月17日 · The new F90 is a product-improved F88 designed to be more modular. While the F90 is a nicely improved service rifle in its own right, it also serves as the basis for the Advanced Infantry Combat Weapon.

Like many other modern assault weapons, the F90 is in a "no bullpup" configuration that centralizes and powers the action behind the trigger group, while still allowing the use of a full-length barrel. This allows the 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge to have more penetration and can control a higher muzzle velocity.

The F90 is a further evolution of the F88 line and brings about a lightweight finish, increased reliability and improved quick-reaction/first-hit accuracy.
