kJ vs. J - CHEMISTRY COMMUNITY
2022年2月1日 · From my experience in working through the problems in the textbook, you're typically going to be asked for the answer in joules rather than kilojoules. This just requires you to do a simple conversion, as most of the formulas are going to require the use of joules in units. Hope this helps.
Units of Delta G - CHEMISTRY COMMUNITY
2019年2月21日 · Delta G is the measure of the change in free energy in a reaction, so you would use either J or KJ; However, you use KJ/mol or J/mol as the units when in respect to a certain number of moles of the species in the reaction.
Gas Constant R - CHEMISTRY COMMUNITY
2021年2月19日 · The gas constant really depends on the units you need to cancel in order to find what you want. This can also mean changing the given value in J to kJ so that we a can minimize the amount of conversions done.
Units for specific heat capacity: kJ/gC or J/gC
2015年1月28日 · Re: Units for specific heat capacity: kJ/gC or J/gC Postby martha-1I » Thu Jan 29, 2015 1:40 am I would think answers in Joules or in KJ would be accepted since they are basically the same answer either divided by 1000 or multiplied by 1000. For example, 5kJ = 5000J, so whether you choose to express that in kJ or J either way should be correct.
KJ/mol-->J - CHEMISTRY COMMUNITY

How to cancel out unit moles to result in Joules
2021年10月2日 · The work function for sodium is 150.6 kJ.mol-1. What is the Kinetic Energy of the ejected electron? For this problem, we have to solve for KE (J). Is there a way to cancel out the mole unit from the work function 150.6 kJ.mol-1 so that my answer ends up as Joules?
