2018年7月2日 · So, notice that the multifunction steering wheel control module (called "J453" in WD) is a LIN slave to the hex19 module which means that it is directly connected to J533 (albeit, the LIN wires are routed via a separate module and these are ultimately connected to J533 through the slip-ring inside the steering wheel - as per @tibcab suggestion).

2013年5月17日 · Unlike other vw's the beetle has the MFSW control unit j453 inside the steering wheel and it doesn't appear there is a different cable reel or any other component. I'm thinking its a coding issue but haven't had time to play with it much yet. Anyone know if it is necessary to initialize or enable a newly installed control unit?

2024年6月29日 · I retrofitted a beetle turbo steering wheel with mfsw buttons and paddle shifters onto my 2013 jetta se 2.5L without buttons or paddles from factory, i had to add the repair wire and splice it into section 8 on the steering module and section 17 on the bcm and now im throwing new codes and i’ve checked fuses and wiring is all good but still lost...
