They passed to the London and North Eastern Railway at the grouping in 1923 and received the LNER classification J65. These had 4-foot-0-inch (1.219 m) coupled wheels, [1] 14-by-20-inch (356 by 508 mm) cylinders and were lighter than the T18 (LNER J66) class. They were reboilered between 1889 and 1912.

The Holden J65 (GER Class E22) 0-6-0T Locomotives. In 1889 James Holden designed his Class E22 (LNER J65) tank locomotive for light passenger duties. Similar to his earlier Class T18 (LNER J66) locomotives, the E22s were of lighter construction and had smaller cylinders. Smaller side tanks and a shorter cab were fitted.

2024年2月16日 · GER E22 -LNER J65 The G. E. R. built twenty of the E22 class between 1889 and 1893. They all lasted into L.N.E.R. ownership, while five survived into B.R. hands, the last one being scrapped in 1956.

Class J69 was used for the R24 rebuilt and S56 locomotives. During the 1920s, the LNER converted 59 of the J69s to be shunting locomotives by removing the condensing gear (where fitted), and fitting lever reverse gear.

L56 is a LNER class J68 (GER class G75) 0-6-0T goods tank engine c.1923, with steam brake, lever reverse and 15-spoke cast iron wheels. L74 has Frame, Brake Gear and Wheel Details for them all.

The Jubilee tanks were Holden's 0-6-0T's, which were produced in several batches - such as classes T18 in 1883, E22 in 1889 and R24 in 1890. The survivors were designated as classes J65 to J69 by the LNER.
