The mid is now a JBL 2123H crossed over at 300hz and 2000hz. At the 2k cross over the Directivity Index matches the JBK 2425H/Eighteensound XT1086 horn/waveguide. The 2204 2123 2425 threesome sounds really good without a lot of high frequencies bouncing around the room. Thanks DT
Jbl 2204h & 2206h - audioheritage.org
Can anyone tell me if the 2204 and/or the 2206 are suitable for use with bass guitar? To the best of my knowledge, JBL never made a 12" speaker specifically for bass guitar, but I have been led to believe that either of these 12's would be great in a bass guitar cabinet.
Altec 414 or JBL 2204? - audioheritage.org
Chris----There are so many JBL woofers that one can't generalize. The JBL woofers I've had experience with are D-130s, LE-15Bs and 2226s. All sounded different yet all sounded good to me. The LE 15B seems to be a somewhat despised woofer around here but I think it sounded quite good in a large sealed box.
2204 recone in 2203 - audioheritage.org
2003年4月25日 · The 2204 can be reconed as a 124/2203 but i'm not sure about the 2206. The 124/2203 works great in a 2.5 - 3.0 cubic foot enclosure tuned to 30 - 32 Hz. In a 2.0 cubic foot enclosure tune to 26 Hz or 40 Hz and see which you prefer. The old JBL tuning frequency for this transducer was 26 Hz but in practice that was usually way too low.

Best replacement for the 121a? (L212 ultrabass) - Page 2
Hi My name is Louis and I am from Denmark. I have been looking at this forum a few times before, but know i need some help. I bought a pair of Jbl L212, not in great condition, but they are pretty rare arround here so i couldn’t resist. My good friend Søren picked them up for me, and now they are stand-in in his livingroom.
2204h as sub? - audioheritage.org
Jbl recommends 2 ft^3 tuned to 28hz. I found a post where someone has had good results with 2.8 ft^3 tuned to 30hz. Some plots on winisd show that the 2.8 ft^3 looks like it has better output near the tuning frequency. The red line in the plot is the JBL recommended box, and the green is the 2.8 cubic foot box. Any opinions?
2204 to 2203 - audioheritage.org
The 2204's voice-coil is a bit "weak" to properly manage the extra weight of all the 2203's moving parts ( especially when including the "mass-ring" ). - One consequence ( of the extra "MMS" ) will be a reduced upper midrange response ( if driving the "heavier" 2203 soft parts with the weaker 2204 voice-coil ) though maybe this isn't important ...
K120 recone with 2204 kit - audioheritage.org
2011年9月13日 · If the alnico magnet is charged to spec then the K120 reconed as a 2204 will be functionally equivalent except for power handling. The SFG ferrite structure is a bit better heat sink. Of course, once you dump enough current into the driver to make power handling an issue you'll end up with a partially discharged platform anyway.
