JBL 2225H speakers, what do you think of them? - TalkBass.com
2009年9月5日 · Hey Guys, I have a chance to buy some re-coned JBL 2225H 15inch speakers. How much do you think these are worth re-coned? Would they sound good in an old Acoustic Corp. 406 cab? Thanks for any comments!;)
JBL 2225H speakers, what do you think of them? - TalkBass.com
2008年12月30日 · I had the 2226 as a stand in before the 2225. The 2226 @ 600w 8ohms was a bit strong for my Mark Bass (350@8). Havnt cranked the 2225 live yet but from mucking about it sounds great. The Etone cab i use is similar to the single JBL cab with front ports just a …
JBL 2225H - Will it work? - TalkBass.com
2002年2月14日 · The JBL isn't realy fussy as long as you aren't hitting it with extreme low end. (Read B string with sub 60 hz boost). I have a 2205 in a small box (2 cu ft) and an E140 in a 4 cu ft rear-horn box. And a mix of D and E 140's in JBL branded 4 cu ft cab's. The JBL cabs sound the best and are easy to build.

2011年3月11日 · The motors are very similar, with the exception of the vented gap VC, but tonally to my ears the 2225 has a deeper bottom than the 2226 overall, and the 2226 sings a little better in the mids. The 2225 (IMO) sounds a bit more "organic" or maybe "warmer" than the 2226. But the biggie is the durability.
JBL 2205A experience anyone? - TalkBass.com
2008年12月1日 · Somebody mentioned that they had this driver reconed as a 2225, I don't believe this is possible because I'm pretty sure the thickness of the 2225 voice coil it too thick to fit in the narrower gap of the 2205 (and D-K series drivers.

2008年1月12日 · The 2225 and 2226 are very similar, the W type folded horn was also muddy as hell, it started rolling off the midrange at around 500Hz but was designed to increase the sensitivity from about 60Hz up through 250Hz and would then be coupled to a 500Hz (or possibly an 800hz) horn/driver combination, most likely a 2482 driver and a 2350 series horn.
Ampeg Flip Top 2x15 with Ampeg V4 and JBL 2225's
2007年12月1日 · Running an Ampeg fliptop 2x15 with an Ampeg v4 head loaded with 2 JBL 2225's. I play old R&B and Soul. I like the sound of the JBL's but yes they are missing some mids. I nearly dimed (exaggeration but you get the idea) the mids on the v4 playing a wedding held in a gym last night. Things are working but I feel like they could work better.

2006年2月27日 · My only (close-up) experience is with building a front-loaded folded horn for fun (I had a theatre scene shop and free materials at hand) I had come across a JBL 2225 and needed something to put it in (early '80s). It was a fun project and the cabinet worked quite well for my intended use for recording with it.
