2018年1月9日 · The JBL 2380 would work well with the BMS 4590 (or any 3" or 4" diaphragm driver) from 630 Hz on up. The 23XX series were one of the most popular JBL horns ever made for touring boxes, never had anyone complain about them back in the '80s and early '90s.

2006年1月9日 · Yes, the 4590 bolts right on the 2380. It is a standard four bolt, 2" exit driver. It is tapped for 6mm instead of 1/4". I find you can cross the JBL at about 600-700 hz. The 2380 will work fine. I use some of the 2380/85. I prefer DDS X series. Mostly because the DDS are bigger and can be crossed lower. Also the DDS sound a bit better.

How does fiberglass, polyurethane foam and aluminium compare to each other? Polyurethane foam seems like a better material to me since it can dampen resonances, but I don't know how it works it real life.

2013年5月13日 · So this should leave the HF area as it is for a while. I want to focus now in the low-mid frequencies. With 2360a and BMS 4590 I think I can go to 500hz very easily. I also can have a XO at 300hz, but maybe frequency response won't be ideal. If later I choose (as suggested) to use a smaller horn, I guess a typical XO fecuency should be 800hz.
