2009年8月27日 · After a tremendous amoutn of help and advice from a few other threads, I am finally the proud owner of a set cloned 4673's put together with the separate components. I've read numerous posts about people "tuning" their system. I was wondering what all that entails.

The JBL 4673 system is essentially what you are describing (depending on vintage, it is an exact description, same drivers, same horn). The 3115 crossover is a 500Hz crossover. 2008年10月9日 · But I am still in doubt, because some people here on LH say that you need to compensate the falling HF response of the compression drivers in the x-overs. They do that in S3100 I know, but on the JBL 4673 the x-over doesn't have any kind of compensation. It is just a straight 12db/oktav filter, as I see it.

Hi there, I'm trying to track down the 3115A crossover circuit diagram. All the links I've found here to the JBL Professional site seem to now be dead. I have a pair of 2445's on 2385's, hopefully a pair of 2226's (coming soon) and some salvaged 4331a enclosures that I'd like to mash up into a system. Seems this will be a close match for the 4673.

2005年2月9日 · There may have been a version of that make with a crossover in it, but I haven't been able to find it yet. Typically, a suitable JBL crossover will have a 16-ohm HF, though the 4430/35 were 8-ohm. Check out the "Quick and Dirty 4430" thread. We're working with the older 16-Ohm crossovers there, and Giskard is just now posting curves.

When I compare these monitors to some current JBL 15s and HF compression drivers that I have recenty purchased they are kinda-patheitic. Granted, they do not have HF compression drivers, but I suppose they should be more comparitve, IMO.
