2016年12月28日 · They are great speakers once the surrounds and caps in the crossovers replaced. We are all just walking each other home. JBL used a material called Lansalloy (Lansing Alloy) for the speaker surrounds on some models in that era. Like yours, over the years the material gets hard and changes the sound of the speakers.

2007年4月6日 · Found a old pair of Lancer 66 speakers which I guess may be the older version of the L-66's. They will auctioned locally in a couple of days, they look pretty good with the exception of a stain on 1 of the grills and 1 missing logo. I certainly don't need them but if I can buy them reasonably are they worth having? Only as an upgrage platform.

2005年11月21日 · Haven't heard a L66, but if it's voiced anything like an L77, it should be quite entertaining, especially on a "period" medium-size tube amp (anything from a Stromberg-Carlson ASR333 to a Dynaco ST70, stuff along that line, from the same time period as the speakers).

2017年9月16日 · I can't the actual specs on these speakers on the JBL or JBL vintage websites. I did find a JBL price sheet showing they sold for $144 each from 1970-1975. I currently have them connected to a luxman receiver and Teac 40-4 tascam reel-to-reel and the combination is sounding very nice.
