2007年6月25日 · The L86 uses an 8" woofer with a 3 lb. magnet; the L96 uses a high-excursion 10" woofer with a 10 1/4 lb. magnet and edgewound voice coil, capable of more power. Therefore, with the L96s you will notice a much better defined bass at higher listening volumes.

2017年11月26日 · It was Greg Timbers at JBL who developed those biased XOs. Only used in the various K2 & Everest models from around 1993 and later. And I know Giskard personally knew and interacted with Greg. Other than those top-o-line models, JBL was never known to spend much on XOs. When I built my XOs, I used middle of the road (price wise) components.

2023年5月16日 · The L86 is fairly rare simply because most would have purchased either the L96 or L112 in spite of the price difference, because of their superior performance. There are other similar speakers in the JBL lineup of 3-way 10-inch speakers.
