2023年8月7日 · Although I've been aware of the JCM 800 clones for a while, I've only recently started considering getting one. Specifically I'm looking at the Ceriatone line. Do these really replicate the Marshalls — not just the tone but the volume and response? Can anyone share recommendations, experience and caveats?

2024年3月20日 · Marshall fixed the JCM 2K PCB's 2005 and after. The year of the head is usually in the bar code on the back panel. The bias drift problem was mostly on the 100 watt DSL and not the 50 as it was a heat related issue. Stay away from folks selling 90's & early 2000's 100 watt 2K amps. They're tainted. Not if but when they have problems.

2011年2月5日 · In my experience the JCM 800 2203 with vertical inputs are significantly more aggressive than the ones with horizontal input. I like the JMP 2203 more though.

2025年1月2日 · Many have labeled the JCM900 the worst amplifier ever made, likely because they encountered a Dual Reverb, which admittedly isn’t the best. However, criticizing the Master Volume models is unwarranted, as they are derived from the highly praised 800 series. In fact, they are among the hardest to find because those who own them tend to keep them.

Not sure which JCM 900 you have in mind (each of the 3 primary models is different from one another) but in the end the JCM 2000 DSL is just more versatile without being overly complicated on the control panel. As others have mentioned it covers all the bases well.

For a 1990's JCM900 4501 Dual reverb, what mods are good for ataining more gain? And perhaps getting a more JCM800/SLP like sound.

2016年2月24日 · If you want the JCM tone and not so loud, I guess it should bem the SC20. But the Mini Jubilee is more versatile, if that’s important for you.

2005年9月8日 · I've been searching for THAT Marshall roar, and have looked at the DSL, Laney VH100R's, and have heard much about a used JCM800 2205 or 2210. I play mostly metal, and am searching for that "British" high-gain crunch! Can someone tell me about this amp? I'm trying to buy soomething under $1000, and TUBE! Thanks! Also look at the 2203/2204.

2020年11月15日 · Find yourself a KK JCM 800. KT 88s, built in boost and a great noise gate. Apart from a nice modded JCM (Monomyth comes to mind) the KK would be the stock Marshall I'd look for.
