2023年1月27日 · My first SSK was the 6.5 JDJ and shot a couple of speed goats with it. went to the 309 JDJ. and the 375 JDJ , that was 25 years ago when I was thinking big roosters kiced the hell out of little ones. I had a friend that had a 250-3000 built. It shot really good . He lives in Colorado and shot every thing with it even a few elk.

2014年5月7日 · I've owned the 30-06 JDJ in the T/C Encore. The above can't be done due to headspace issues. The shoulder of the JDJ version is blown considerably forward from the standard '06. The 30-06 JDJ is certainly the most case capacity available in the '06 case. Mine was a 15" barrel and would push 165 gr Nosler Ballistic Tips to 2715 FPS.

2015年11月30日 · My JDJ shoots 260 grain accubonds a legitimate sub MOA at 100 yards with a stiff charge of H4895, and a CCI LRP. I haven't used any other bullet for this caliber for the last 5 years. 2013年2月21日 · I've been shooting a 375 JDJ since the early 70's. For deer-sized game, Hornady's 220 gr. flat point or their 225 gr. sp work well. For larger game like elk or moose, Hornady's 270 gr. sp has been effective. Should you have the desire/opporunity for dangerous game, the 375 JDJ has a proven track record.

2018年3月6日 · I have an encore, forced me to get into reloading. Contact SSK they have load data and dies. Use a chronograph, I am only half way up the powder charge list and am hitting max velocity (2350 fps) with the 200gr SST's. Also look for the contender specific handloading books and 6th edition hornady has 338 jdj#2 loads.

2018年4月24日 · IIRC, the 6.5/.270 JDJ is a proprietary cartridge developed by J.D. Jones of SSK industries. The shoulders are moved forward significantly (shorter neck) and the shoulder angle is also far greater than that of 6.5-06.
