2014年1月13日 · You can also try the JJ KT77 or JJ 6CA7, which both beam pentodes (like the 6L6GC and original 6CA7), with that "rounder" sound and anode voltage max of 800V. But, at those plate voltages, I wouldn't expect to note a lot of differences between EL34's, 6L6GC, KT77's or other unless you really crank the amp.

2021年5月7日 · i just got a kruse modded 5153 50w 6l6 that is amazing. played with a guy a while back that had the el34 and it was good but i prefer 6l6s. make sure to get the version with concentric knobs. havent been able to play a jj jr but i have heard people say it was too dark for them. i would love try the bigger version, most 20w amps dont do much for me.

2019年8月26日 · New quad jj 6l6 gc tubes. Came with amp I purchased as insurance, put in amp and like other tubes better. Put back in boxes and good as new, maybe in amp 4 minutes. $50 shipped takes it. Tubes are matched and new.

2011年1月14日 · Just have to say this out. I just retubed the amp with JJ 6L6 and KT77. Previously it was with old 10year old tubes. Now it sounds HUGE with the AxeFX - so amazing! What poweramps are you guys using with your AxeFX? I have an incoming Fryette 2502. I wonder if it would be even better ?

2022年3月15日 · Now that I’m only using a Fender Vibrolux Reverb I’m liking the Tung Sol RI 6L6’s or STR’s, but those cost more. I like their 12ax7’s too. When this tube crisis hit I was bummed I could only find two sets of Tung Sol 6L6’s which happened to be STR’s which I grabbed. I then grabbed two more quads of 6L6’s, EHX and GT.

2015年5月20日 · In the pictures below you can see two comparisons, one between a JJ KT77 and a New Sensor made RI Genelex KT88 as well as another image with a JJ KT88 and New Sensor built 6CA7EH. It's pretty easy to see how the ends of the pins on the New Sensor built tubes are bulbous where as the JJ's are smooth and tapered right at the end.
